Short-order help… Cafe gets award, thanks for Sep. 11 efforts. After Sept. 11, Cary restaurant owner Barry Doyle started a state-wide fundraising campaign for New York firefighters and their families.

The North Carolina Restaurant Association is proud of Barry’s Cafe’s involvement in their community. By assisting firefighters during emergencies, they admirably represent the good ‘neighbor efforts’ of the hospitality industry.

The members of the Swift Creek Fire Department would like to thank your and your staff for the emergency food service you provided our agency on the night of November 24, 2001.

I would like to that you for the lunches you delivered to us on November 20, 2001. We appreciate your dedication to the Fire Service and everything you do for us.

A kind Gesture Grows into a Mission of Service… Firefighters are going to benefit from the start of this foundation. As State Fire Marshal, I think Barry has an excellent idea, and I would like to see the Feed the Firefighters Foundation become a reality in North Carolina.
